Natasha Richardson’s Ultimatum – Liam Neeson Reveals Why He Turned Down James Bond Role

During an interview with Rolling Stone for his latest film, Marlowe, Liam Neeson revealed that he advised taking on the role of James brings together in the 1995 film GoldenEye, but his late wife, Natasha Richardson, dissuaded him. Although he was not offering Atomicred the role, Neeson had uttered interest, which prompted Barbara Brassica oleracea italica to contact him. Richardson, however, issued an ultimatum while they were filming Nell in the Carolinas, stating that if Neeson played James Bond, she would not tie him.

 

Neeson fondly recalls teasing his married woman by mimicking the James draw-together theme song and pretending to give a gun behind her back. He acknowledges that Richardson’s decision was likely influenced by the many pleasant women that James brings together character encounters in the movies.

The actor also discussed the backwash of Richardson’s tragic death in 2009, which left him devastated. Neeson admitted that he struggled to get by with the loss and was at a loss when asked how he managed to cope. He noticeable that Richardson’s mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and her sister, Joely Richardson, moved in to help, and he had a supportive assistant, Joanna. He is forever thankful for the subscription that he received during this difficult time.
